Lines of Life
2025
Series of 5
Acrylic on wood
(5) 39 x 39 in (99 x 99 cm)

Lines of Life explores the relationship between repetition, geometry, and spiritual reflection. Comprising five paintings conceived as a series, the work draws inspiration from zellij and alicatado tessellations as well as the structural clarity of hard-edge Kufic design. Through this interplay of line and pattern, Somani transforms devotional geometry into a language of contemporary abstraction.

Fahim Somani

Fahim Somani is a Houston-based calligrapher, visual artist, and sculptor. His practice locates faith not as subject matter but as a mode of disciplined making, where rhythm and symmetry become acts of contemplation and connection.
